Sometimes I bridge the gap of what males are more inclined to do compared to what females are more inclined to do. Games are a hard one for me, because I'm not into them as much as my friends, but I dabble, and I when I do get interested, I tend to obsess.

I often tell myself, it's just a game. But then why do I want to throw a brick at the last person who ganked me? There is an element of emotional involvement. We create these characters, we put time and energy into these characters. It's offensive when someone takes us out or when we can't succeed. But then I have to remember that there is a reality gap too. So, I see E'Lise's point. She cares about your feelings. It sucks when you're upset, especially over something in a fake world. I get upset when Kenny gets mad too. I want to help. I can't.

So, I guess I see both sides.

Also, your email skills are lame, Jason.

I have officially requested June 13 - 19 off from my job. My plan is to sweep up through Washington and visit with a couple of my friends who moved up there and then up to Montana. I don't know if you're wanting me around the day before or whatnot, but we can figure out that stuff later. Just FYI. I am coming.

Games are so much more than just a game. It's a community. Everytime one geek is talking to another geek using jargon no non-gamer understands you realize your a part of something greater. The future of interactive entertainment. By being in on the ground floor we're a part of that. A part of the future. An art form. We're just like every other conoisseur out there. The more discerning of us can tell the fine/aged game from the derivative gutter trash. It's a lifestyle. It's an escape. It's sportsmanship, camraderie, competition on a physical and mental level. Games are stories and gamers the literatti. It's a definition. It's a test of resolve, endurance, skill, talent, mental and visual acuity. It's CREATIVITY.

And women aren't ones to talk. Might as well say it's just shoes. Or who cares if Angelina is pregnant etc.

Speaking of games GalCiv II is looking amazing. I've got my pre-order.

I don't know if you're familiar with Drakedog, but he's probably the most well known warlock in WoW. He makes really good pvp movies- great play skills and the movies are very polished. He just relased his last movie of him deleting his account, and everyone on the movie comments was /saluting and /crying. It just struck me how this guy had become a legend among wow players- lots of 60 warlocks were started because of his movies.

I guess this seemed important to me because E'Lise and I argue every once in a while about the value of games. She see's them as "just games," and whenever I'm frustrated with losing or dieing or something she says "It's just a game." But is that fair to say? Do I just get frustrated because I'm addicted, or out of touch with reality? Did those people on the comment board feel sad for no reason? I want to think there is something to these games besides a waste of time.

Were they after drugs or cash?

Lumien is almost to level 40, and I think I may have enough gold to immediatly buy a mount. Woot. I think I found my niche finally- I like being a healer. Guess I'll try Priest next, but I don't feel a need to start a new character any time soon, a novel idea for me.

To which email? I only have your Seattle Univ. address, I think. I'll send it there.

Hey, do you have a date for the big day yet? I need to reqest my vacation days from work by the end of the month...

Oh, and the hair was chopped again. A good 6 or 7 inches. I didn't tell anyone, so I've been getting shocked looks. It's back to shoulder length, plus bangs. It's very Skully like, I hear. Or Alanis Morissette like, after her haircut. Anyway, it's way different. I haven't bangs like this since I was 8 years old or something.

School started today. Yay?

I find that when I want my life to be different I want it to be different so it is more like a TV show. So I am going to take steps to make this so. For example I am going to find an enormous and beautiful apartment in New York I can't possibly afford. This also means people I know must die during sweeps week.

Goddammit J I told you, Ventrue. When you get the final outfit you will see why. And you'll also see why the Anarchs can still call Cammy's Capes. Running around in it (in 3rd person) is awesome. You'll never feel more like a vampire. Tremere is a good playthrough just for the reactions from NPCs, and the blood magic. And you get a different haven. Or at least you CAN.
Say did you ever sire a ghoul?

I hung out with Mana today. We saw Narnia. It was good and Mana really loved it. I almost convinced Mana to buy an expensive pair of cosmetic glasses because they make her look hotter. I also discovered she has nice ears, looks way better with her hair pulled back, something she didnt know but is now glad I realized and that Sweet Tomatoes is a little better than Fresh Choice. Though Mana feels differently.

Mana was.... disturbed... by my eating habits at buffet style restaurants. She claims to have never seen someone put salt and pepper on their salad!? I thought that was a pretty common thing. She was also a little taken aback by the mountainous salad I crafted of 10 separate ingredients. Pickles, eggs, olives, sunflower seeds, 2 kinds of salad etc. DO go together quite deliciously. But broccoli slaw is...very odd.

Most shocking of all she said she actually LIKED my facial hair. Something no one has said before. In fact they usually say the opposite quite vehemently. She then went on to say she found me quite attractive. I saved the AIM conversation to prove it. She said I could easily aspire to such lofty heights as 5 out of 10! Ive never been so flattered.

Somehow she still found it easy to turn me down when I asked her out. Odd.

I have a red Nintendo DS and it is so freakin' awesome!! I love it. Now I can play Animal Crossing and Bust-A-Move. And Mario Kart DS.

I miss WoW. And internet. And Super Nintendo.

I moved for New Year's. I rang it in alone in the new place. But Kenny was cute and changed the clock so that he could kiss me on time.

So yeah, I'm living in an apartment now with three other people. It's nice after living in a house with 6 other people.

Working at the bank is nice. Exhausting. It requires a ton of concentration, but whatever. Anyway, working full time is killer, but the pay is nice. And school starts soon, so I'll be working less, but I'll be at school during the time that I could be earning money....such is life.

Anyway, hope all is well with the rest of you. Happy New Year!

The more I play Bloodlines the more I like it. I just got done today with the elder Malkavian's crazy house. The story is awesome, and every time I think I know what's going on it changes. There are so many clever puzzles and interesting levels that I plan to play through the game again at least once. I'm thinking about being either a Malkavian, Tremere, or Ventrue next time.
