Bad news is first. My family's dog is hideously deathly ill. Unfortunately none of the vets my mom has seen can figure out what is wrong with him. Sad. Good news now. Starting now I only work Friday every other day until next Friday I have off. Thank god I needed more free time. I picked up Dawn of War Dark Crusade and Bully both very fun but just killing time till FFXIII and NWN2 which are coming out on the same damn day because the universe hates me. Halloween should be abusy busy day and I'll tell you all about it Nov. 1st. Mana if youre reading this you promised a phone call eventually. Im also attempting to get more in touch with my emotions. Advent Rising could have been an A+ game but there were behind the scenes problems and a number of bugs/glitches that bring the experience down to a C+. The bitterest taste is unrealized potential. I own it though and I highly recommend playing it. So rent it. I've seen it at like every blockbuster Ive ever been in. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 4:50 AM Monday, October 09, 2006 I'm playing through HL2 again lately, and I've forgotten how awesome this game is. The puzzles are great, and Ravenholme remains my favorite part of the game. I'm in my second favorite part now, where you get to use the sand-lions as your evil minions. After I'm done with it, I'm trying to decide if I should get HL2: Episode One or Advent Rising (story written by Orson Scott Card). posted by Jason 12:31 PM Scrubs! Yes! I love Scrubs! It looked nice from where I was sitting, but I'm working on 2 10-page papers, so I can't really pay much attention to it. I've been watching Scrubs lately - great show. Some HOUSE too, and of course season 1 of Lost. One of my roommates is very into TV. He keeps bugging me to get the last season of BTVS, but I'm too poor and I don't really want to see the series end. And back to papers I go... posted by Anonymous 8:21 PM Saturday, October 07, 2006 For serious. I just saw The Guardian and LOVED it. It's Top Gun for the Coast Guard. I've already thought about going into the CG after my army time as a pilot, and seeing this movie pushed me enough to look into it. I found relatively quickly that the CG has direct commission programs which take you directly into their aviation branches which are tailored to officer pilots comming in from other branches. They're based on vehicle combat, and I like infantry combat. So I spend all my time either running around by myself or getting blown up by tanks. Plus, I get frustrated that no one works together aside from mob tactics. posted by Jason 10:38 PM I'm downloading the Battlefield 2142 demo, and I have high hopes.
