Named after the creator, Mike, four most frequent posters, Brittany, Jason, Anna, Sarah and newest member Dorothy. archives Thursday, March 31, 2005 Anyone else want to see Sin City? I'd really like to see it tomorrow. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 10:45 AM I don't pay for porn. That's why I have the internet. :) Also got SC3 that's some great shit man. Too bad you never got into them this one is definitely the best. Right off the bat everything is better. Especially aince they FINALLY got rid of checkpoints and it's now save anywhere/anytime. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 12:25 AM Seriously consider moving onto CoH with me Jason. Its 30 dollars for the damn collectors edition! And I continue to hear nothing but good things on the forums and elsewhere. CoH isnt about the grinding I don't think they even have money for goodness sakes. Its about the powers and beating villains. And hopefully CoV will come out by the end of this year. Thats the one I really cant wait for. Superbases (for guilds I believe) and a whole separate villain track (with unique villain archetypes). I got to screw around with making a character at a PC in a computer store. Awesome shit! Oh and you ever going to do The Forgotten Forge adventure at the back of the book? posted by Mikael, Shady, God 12:21 AM Wednesday, March 30, 2005 I'm thinking of quitting WoW too. It just isn't as much fun anymore, now that its just about the level grind. My roommate bought Matrix Online so I'll probably give that a try but it doesn't look too great. Even he doesn't like it all that much- he's kind of an impulse buyer. We just got 5 porn dvd's that he bought on ebay in a drunken spell, and let me tell you: its some raunchy shit, just on the covers. There is only one that I would consider watching. Anyway, I want to get the Call of Duty expansion and then CoD 2 but we'll see. My graphics card is acting up, so I may have to get that looked at. Seemed to be running WoW fine today though. posted by Jason 6:45 PM Monday, March 28, 2005 I'm seriously considering moving on from WoW and going to CoH. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 1:46 AM Im lvl 44 and enjoying my new mount. :) posted by Mikael, Shady, God 12:59 AM Friday, March 25, 2005 Well we'll see. Let's try and remember that DnD was born from wargames and tactical simulations. The roleplaying stuff came after. Before that it was 100% hack and slash dungeon crawling. Hell the maps could easily be translated to a 3d RTS map and youve got the units and races. There's even those mini figurines. Its kind of an RTS already. But yes Im wary.Ill be waiting for reviews. Speaking of DnD Ive got characters ready to go if you want to do "Shadows of the Last War." posted by Mikael, Shady, God 5:54 AM All I can say mike, is what the hell? RTS DnD? Not sure about that. posted by Jason 12:02 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2005 Check it out Jason. I couldn't believe it. http://pc.ign.com/objects/680/680934.html?ui=cb_up_05 posted by Mikael, Shady, God 4:45 PM I didn't think you were, Mike. I just haven't been home. I spent most of my time at Kenny's. I sleep there 6 nights a week. And we're busy most weekends, so I haven't been online much. It's spring break! Yay! However, I am working every day except Sunday. Lame. So much for sleeping in. I have been playing my nintendo a lot lately. And I just tried a game called Donkey Kong Jungle Beat on the gamecube. Cool game. Gotta run! Lunch time. :) posted by Anonymous 12:34 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2005 Just so you know I was not being sarcastic when I said "good for you." So Jason you going to run Shadows of the Last War or not? Let me know. Im pretty much set to go. We can use my old T-H-I-N-K blog if you'd like. I may leave WoW for CoH. For sure Splinter Cell 3 and later Jade Empire will eat up a lot of my time. How ya feeling Sarah? People still pissing you off? Stupid question. I'm sure they are. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 3:46 AM Friday, March 18, 2005 Good for you Brittany. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 4:37 PM I'm so excited about Star Wars. Life goes. One week I'm doing great in school and feelin' happy and all that, but that's when I'll be stressed about my family or Kenny. Or vice versa. I'd like everything to be mellow for a bit. The relationship part of my life is going great. Actually, the best I've had in a very very long time. The school part of my life is going, slowly, but I'm nearing completion of two AA's at once. Whether or I not I go for the BA is still up in the air. The stalker front still sucks. The work front is finally good, but still not paying enough to live in the bay area. Even so, I've been giving A LOT of thought about moving out. I've been thinking about it for a year or so now, but more and more, I want it. Not because I'm unhappy with my parents, but because I'm bored there, because it's exciting and scary, and because it's time. However, I think I should make myself wait until I get back from Europe, at least. Money will be tight until I return and I don't to make it harder on myself if I don't have to. Oh, and happy St. Patrick's day. I had a bottle of peach schnapps all to myself, but Kenny asked me not to drink simply because he didn't want to watch over me. So we played Settlers of Catan, which I think is more fun anyway. posted by Anonymous 2:31 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2005 I am totally buying the "rogues do it from behind" shirt. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 12:59 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2005 Well Jason not only have I read that adventure but I also read 2 of the follow up adventures and was considering buying the third. :-) I don't remember a lot about it though. A creation schema to find, sewers are of course involved and a hot ( I like to imagine she's hot) patron. I could mail you the follow up adventures I browsed through and the third one (unread) if you'd like. I mean I did already create some characters for fun. Might as well use them. We could create a second blog to use. Speaking of Eberron I got the two books that came out. City of Towers the Dreaming Dark Pt.1 And The Lost Mark Pt. 1 I give the first a B+ and the second a B-. The hardest part about reading a DnD book is putting aside the damn rulebook. Since no rulesystem meshes with reality it's very annoying to think of a character in the book making their save, and getting one hit kills etc. But I'm getting better at it. The worst is trying to imagine the class and level of the characters. It's very stupid to do. I'm going to grab the Crimson Talisman when it comes out and the supplements when they come out. I like being able to keep up with this world since it's brand new. If I wanted to catch up on Faerun it'd probably take 300 books. :) And while were on this geeky topic I am now lvl 40. :) Let the grinding for my mount begin. I managed to save up 30 gold so far. Once Ive got that Im going to start sending you money. I already sent you some even better bags. I'm buying the Incredibles today and also Napoleon Dynamite. If anyone (namely Brat or Sarah) would like to watch these let me know. My room is becoming roomier every day as I whittle away at my junk and throw out boxes. I just put together a large cd/dvd rack. Life is good. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 1:11 AM Sunday, March 13, 2005 We could use the blog as our medium. It would be very slow but sustainable. posted by Jason 5:41 PM Mike, have you read the adventure in the back of the Eberron book? If not I might want to run it for you. posted by Jason 12:56 PM Friday, March 11, 2005 Jason you gave up soda for Lent? I gave up soda to cut down on all the sugar I drank and its been just over 3 weeks now and it was totally easy and I LOVED soda. This is what you sacrificed for God? Im sure he was very impressed. You might as well be Caine. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 8:29 PM I got the Triumph the Insult comic Dog DVD and everyone needs to go buy this. It's got pretty much every second of Triumph there is and I haven't laughed so very hard at a DVD in a long time. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 8:12 PM So I recorded the OC not even knowing it was going to show the SW III trailer and just having watched it, I can't believe I'm going to say it but it might actually be ... good. I still have deep reservations and Ill be waiting to see what others say but the dark tone and Anakin maybe not being such a fricking sissy anymore looked really good. At the very least I will want to see The Emperor face off against 4 Jedi Masters (at least thats how it looked) and also Yoda and Anakin and Obi-wan fight also looks intense. But maybe my standards have simply sunk so low it'd be impossible not to surpass them? posted by Mikael, Shady, God 1:44 AM Tuesday, March 08, 2005 I was tired yesterday so I said twenty somethings when I meant 14-16 year olds. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 1:26 AM Sunday, March 06, 2005 As someone thats worked at a store for going on 6 years now there's a creepy thing I see on a fairly frequent basis that never gets less creepy, which is the older 40 years or more gentlemen ogling the hot young 20 somethings. And its not like they are wearing bikini's or anything. It can be a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Doesn't matter, I still have to see them not so subtley stealing glances at them or more accurately parts of them. Maybe it's just because Im fairly observant and notice what people are doing (when I'm not deliberately ignoring it), unlike most people who don't seem to realize they are managing to block an entire shopping aisle and there are people trying to get by, but it's creepy. Especially when they catch eyes with me and they know I know what they are doing AND thinking but mistakenly think I'm right there with them. Makes me feel dirty. Watch out for people. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 12:58 AM Wednesday, March 02, 2005 Yes, that's all very interesting Brat. If you thought I sent you a lot of stuff before Jay check again. :) I was hoping Republic Commando would suck so I wouldn't have to get it but now... (sigh) So many things to spend money on. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 8:21 PM I am going to Europe for a couple reasons. I am spending the first couple of weeks with my choir and singing in various cities. That's the Germany, Poland, and Czech Republic part. Then I will be spending 10 or so days by myself, wandering through Wales, Ireland, and parts of England that don't include London. The last two weeks I will be with the theater department from school, on a theater tour. I'm gonna see A LOT of shows, but also do a lot of the cultural stuff in London. That's also when I'm going to Scotland. (Better ghosts there.) I'm not sure when or if I'll have time for Paris, but I'd still like to go if I can. So part of it is for school, but other part is that I want to travel and explore and be independent. Is that better? posted by Anonymous 5:18 PM Tuesday, March 01, 2005 Yeah saw the link to it on PA yesterday but hadn't checked it out yet. Looks awesome. That trailer that plays is one of the best I've ever seen. Speaking of video games Jade Empire is 6 weeks away. Preordered the limited edition and it is going to be so freaking sweet. posted by Mikael, Shady, God 1:28 AM |
