Yeah, Jason. None of us know the dates you'll be here. Except maybe Mike. He wasn't very clear on that. We were clashing a lot. I kept giving him crap about being a jerk to me and he kept saying I was overly sensitive. But hey, I drive and he pays. Its working out pretty well. Oh. And let me tell you, having two jobs is crazy because everyone wants to be the primary job...tomorrow I'm scheduled to be at both places at the same time. Ew.

Florabelle died on the 24th. I came home from the convention to get ready for work and grab some costume materials and found her sprawled out, weak, and hardly breathing. No one was willing to do anything for her; no one really knew what to do or her, but we did know that her time was extrememly limited. That was around 7pm. When I came home from work around 10pm to check on her, she had passed on. I was the first to find her, by many many hours. Everyone else had gone to bed. Sue told me they would burry her in the backyard. I couldn't find her place, but I've been thinking about her and all my pets a lot lately. Its so weird. I have no one to feed and no one to cuddle with now. She will be missed greatly.

Florabelle has a week to live and get better or I have to take her in to be put down. What's worse is that I was told this afternoon that my grandfather has cancer (like everyone else in my family) and is dying. They think I should visit him and say my goodbyes, but I don't know what to say. Its not even Christmas yet and I don't see how I can't handle more death.

Now you see, I am not an opera singer because I, in no way, have anything close to that volume or strength for singing.

i went to an opera a couple of weeks ago and the lead was supposedly one of the 3 best sopranos alive. my teacher (it was a class thing) said that she was singing at about 1/4 of her potential (it was just a dress rehersal) and she was almost hurting my ears. and i was in the back. wow. i actually enjoyed it, although there were some slow parts. it was fidellio, behtovhen's only opera. good times.

I was just thinking, some things never change. Like Mike. Still teasing me about everything. I picked him up from work the other day because I'm nice like that and starting going off about Jason because its a common subject and he asked if I always talk about Jason that much. Fine then. Also, I'm still teased by my friends about my singing. I'm sure Jason still would say I'm an "opera singer" (just wait til I transfer to Taccoma, Jason, where they have an opera every year...), Mike still thinks I am a "folk singer," and everyone else is just happy for my preoccupation with music, as long as I don't pester them with it. *sigh*

Concert tickets are too expensive. I wanted to go to La La Paluza, Summer Sanitartium, BFD, and John Mayer...not mention all the musicals I wanted to see. I just don't make enough. Hence why I'm getting a second job.

Oh My God. So, I just sang 2 hours of Russian two nights in a row. I have NO idea what I was thinking, but it was the worst ever concerts I have ever performed in. I'm so happy it's over. I finally got to see X2 a couple days ago, which I really liked and then Mike and I saw Matrix Reloaded today, which was awesome. And staying for the end of the credits payed off.

so there was just a big concert/carnival dealie here on campus. its called quadstock cause its usually in the quad, but this year it was in the astrogym because they were afraid of rain, so we called it astrogymstock. i guess its only funny if youve been hearing about how great quadstock is and then its held in the astrogym. anyway, there were bad accoustics cause its inside a gym, so a lot of the music just sounded like thumping noise. the first few bands were just local bands, but then home grown played, followed by the presidents of the united states of america. the presidents put on a really good show. lump and dune buggy were the best. for some reason, peaches didnt do much for me. oh oh oh and that song video killed the radio star was AWESOME. for some reason in their encore they played some sex pistols songs. anyway good times.

I've been listening to harder rock a lot lately. Korn and stuff. But I must say, Tool is awesome and I've been missing out. I think I'm going to look into the next time they are around. They always seem to be in Berkeley.

Finals start next week, but because I'm the oddball, I have an early final this week and all my scheduled finals on the same day next week. I don't know if I'm liking this scenario. My oceanography professor offered to let me reschedule, but I'd rather just get it all done and over with.

First the proper credit.
This was posted on Tim's website dirtysecrets. It was posted by Taurin whos Dad forwarded it to him in an email. Enjoy:

Every once in a while my dad forwards me interesting emails. I find them wise and true. I just felt like sharing this with you all:

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right
one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be
grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we
look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened
for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing
with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best
conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's
also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you
back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but
if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a
crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it
takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that
fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to
make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just
want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want
to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you
want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make
you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it
probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lives for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have
searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance
of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a
kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a
forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past
failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone
around you is crying.

Please send this message to those people who mean something to you, to
those who have touched your life in one way or another, to those who make you
smile when you really need it, to those that make you see the brighter side of
things when you are really down, to those who you want to let them know that you
appreciate their friendship. And if you don't, don't worry, nothing bad will
happen to you, you will just miss out on the opportunity to brighten someone's
day with this message.

Chrono Cross?? My brother does. He also has the playstation version of Chrono Trigger which he hates because of the insanely long loading times.

I could be a horse. You dont know for sure. Ew Hell no you can't "ride" me. Don't you have a bf? Sheesh. No not tons and no I wouldn't cooperate with you but only cause you arent bringing me cookies. I like ALL cookies, Besides I never said those cookies. I specifically mentioned chocolate creme oreos. Im an animal that could crush you.
;-) So it should be a concern with you. Besides youll miss me when Im gone.

Do you have the sequel?
posted by Mikael, Shady, God 11:32 AM

Um. Are you a horse? Are you going to let me ride you? Are you a couple tons in weight and are nice enough to cooperate with me? No. You wouldn't even like these cookies. I'm trying to keep animals that could crush me happy. That is not such a concern with you Mike.

I'm playing Chrono Trigger on my Super Nintendo. Good times.

Oh I see. You buy the horse cookies but leave me high and dry. I see how it is. Did you ever think maybe I would like you to drop by with some oreos(chocolate creme preferably) or something. You are SO selfish.

Florabelle seems to making a turn around, but the vet doesn't think its permanent. She's just too old. But for now, I'm thinking happy thoughts and spending lots of time with her. Tomorrow I get to spend some time at the ranch with the horses. I even bought some horse cookies to make them happy. I can't wait. I hope it doesn't rain.

Fucking Bitch. (Nice rubbing it in though. Very well done.)

A little tip. Unless you actually care about things looking their prettiest while you kill and maim or get killed and maimed set them all to their lowest settings. At least for MP. Its what all the best FPSers do. It will run seamlessly. Especially if youve got DSL. Cable can be sporadic in its ping but it still beats dial up.

it seems to be working. ive only tried it in one game so far, battlefield 1942. im keeping the graphics at medium settings so i get good speed, but i havent even tried it higher so i dont know if that would actually slow it down or not. the new day of defeat is pretty cool, but very different from the old one. cheers.

Eh. Dont buy into that indestructable bs. Nothing is indestructable. Besides perhaps adamantium doesnt become "indestructable" until its been refined and purified and then when it cools its indestructable but before hand its only super strong.

What odd timing. Not so far away from Bear timewise and everything. At least youre not alone. Oh Brat. If you want a free breakfast and to support Irvington choir class come with me Saturday (this one) 8am-12am. I have an extra ticket. I also need your phone number because my address book was deleted.

Finally got Florabelle to the vet. She has a "mass" in her abdomen and there isn't a whole lot that can be done. I'm giving her anti biotics to see if that helps clear things up for her, but if she starts showing signs of not being comfortable or wanting life, we'll have to put her down. I'm all upset about this.

Well Im reminded of the time a car crashed into the front of the store broke the glass knocked a ton of stuff off the shelves and made a hell of a boom. That was a good night. No one was injured in case you're wondering. Anyways Its about 99.9% certain my family is moving. Id say the odds of me moving with them are about as high. :-\
